Location

FLC2007 will be held at the Conference Hall in Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Hokkaido, JAPAN. (You can obtain campus map from the website: http://www.hokudai.ac.jp/bureau/e/index-e.html The conference hall is at the lower end of the map, nearest building from Sapporo station.) Sapporo has the 5th largest population in Japan. Hokkaido has no rainy season, unlike elsewhere in Japan. The height of summer is between July and August, with average temperatures sometimes exceeding 20 degrees.

Access

For access to Hokkaido, airplane is useful. The New Chitose airport is connected to a network of airports throughout Japan, including Tokyo (Haneda and Narita), Nagoya(Centrair), and Osaka (Kansai).

From New Chitose-Airport to Sapporo station: JR line: 35min.(every 15min.) Bus: ca.70min. It takes about 10minutes on foot from Sapporo Station to the Conference Hall. Conference Hall is located close to the main gate (north gate) of Hokkaido University.
