INVITATION TO THE FLC07 CULTURAL PROGRAM
FOR DELEGATES & ACCOMPANYING PERSONS

The programs are planned by the Organizing Committee of the FLC07 in cooperation with Sapporo Convention Bureau. Visiting historical spots and lively shopping malls in downtown, touching traditional Japanese culture such as Tea Ceremony and Kimono Wearing, and joyful communication with citizens will familiarize you with the city. Hospitable citizens' volunteer staff mainly operate the program, coordinated by Sapporo Convention Bureau.

Applications are accepted at the [City Information Desk] run by Sapporo Convention Bureau in Conference Hall of Hokkaido University.


PROGRAM No. 1

[SAPPORO CITY WALK - Hokkaido University ~ Downtown area]

PROGRAM OUTLINE

This city walk program provides you with the chance to identify Sapporo by walking around the downtown area. Visit to some historical spots, central park area, and unique shopping malls will be arranged within this 2-hour walk. The program is scheduled on Wednesday, 5th September so that you will be familiarized with the city through joyful communication with our citizen volunteers.

[TOUCHING JAPANESE HEART - KIMONO WEARING and TEA CEREMONY EXPERIENCE]
PROGRAM OUTLINE

This program introduces the Japanese traditional culture such as Kimono Wearing and Tea Ceremony. Our friendly and hospitable volunteers including Tea or Kimono masters welcome you at the venue: Sapporo Guest House.
Touch and feel our traditional culture in relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere.


DATE: Wednesday, 5th Septemberfrom 14:00- (approx. 3hr)

VENUE: Sapporo Guest House
(a public guest house with spacious Japanese garden and tea ceremony room)

MEET AT: City Information Desk in Conference Hall at 14:00, and travel to the venue by subway

MAXIMUM: 20 people.*Application required

PROGRAM FEES: 500-yen/person for "One-daySubwayPass" to travel to Sapporo Guest House.

make your stay in Sapporo more comfortable.
Transportation information, recommended sightseeing information and

other useful information (souvenir shopping, internet caf’H, etc.) are available
at the desk.

Applications for the accompanying persons programs are also accepted
at the desk.
